I matched yarns to the colors in this little ad photo of a scarf. Five RHSS: Coffee, Ecru, Burgundy, Buff, and Light Raspberry, plus three unknowns: the pale pink, mint and sage green.

At first I followed the scarf’s color sequence, but then started to change up a row or two in each repeat, just cuz it was a little more interesting.

At row #47 I started repeating the stripe sequence in reverse order.

Fun to compare the finished blanket to the scarf that sparked the idea!

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of stitches to ten.
