I’ve been debating how to best use the gorgeous ‘Vanna’s Choice’ skeins that a yarn fairy, Lisa, donated to my charity project. Decided to start off slow by accenting a ripple with just ten rows of ‘Rust’. A little of this brilliant color can do alot!

In explanation of this ripple’s name, “A Touch of Brass” - - Vanna’s ‘Rust’ isn’t nearly as reddish as most rust yarns, and ‘A Touch of Rust’ wouldn’t have sounded nearly as nice.

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of double crochet stitches to ten stitches.
