I sandwiched one row of the variegated between two 2-row stripes of a color, did one row of black, and then moved on to the next color.

Yarns with labels: RHSS ‘Yellow’, ‘Vibrant Orange’ and ‘Blue’, Panda Acrylic #134 (the deeper orange), SuperValue Dupont Acrylic ‘Royal’ and Meadowbrook Mirelle ‘Black’.

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of double crochet stitches to ten stitches.
