I made this ripple to show off an I Love This Yarn! variegated called ‘Modern Retro Ombre’ that yarn fairy Chrissy sent me. IMHO, few variegated yarns look as good when used in multiple rows as in single rows, but this particular one looks lovely both ways!

The other yarns: one full skein of RHSS ‘Cafe Latte’ from Lisa of TN, ‘Federal Blue’ Sayelle and a second very similar-looking blue, which I think is RHSS ‘Country Blue’, plus a little ecru.

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of double crochet stitches to ten stitches.

P.S. The blanket’s edges don’t actually warble like that - it’s just that it’s sinking into a soft layer of newly fallen snow, making it hard to smooth it out.
