Excited to see how the variegated, RHSS ‘Black Light’ will look in a ripple.

Pulled out an old 16-ounce skein of RHSS Black, a skein of RHSS ‘Shocking Pink’, also from Sandi of MD,

and the remaining RHSS ‘Turqa’ from Lisa of TN.

My striping pattern, inspired by Shaunna’s ‘crocheted zigzag skirt’, took an entire five-ounce skein of the variegated and not only that sixteen-ounce skein of black, but another three ounces. That’s nineteen ounces of black! And yet this ripple is still pretty and feminine.

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of double crochet stitches to ten stitches.
