I compared this ripple to somewhat troubled #31 and noticed…

• This one has an all-cool palette.
• Its’ variegated yarn contains no white
• I used the same color – either purple or white – before and after each of its variegated stripes.

All things to remember whenever I want a ripple that has lots of variegated to feel relatively calm and well-balanced.

Yarns Used:

• an unknown green/blue/purple/blue variegated
• Wintuk ‘Medium Blue’ from a yarn fairy, Sandi of MD,
• some RHSS ‘Spruce’ and ‘Lavender’ from my old stash,
• and an anonymous white.

As usual I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern - used an H hook with only one strand of yarn and increased each run of double crochet stitches to ten stitches.
