Reviewing my 2011 ripples, I thought it was time to do another one with wide stripes, like those in #39, Peonies.

But with dark single-row stripes, instead of light, and a completely new striping pattern in the middle, Big Blue has little in common with its ripple of inspiration. Instead, it makes a Bold statement all its own!

As usual, I modified the Rustic Ripple pattern. I used one strand instead of two, so crocheted it with an H hook. Then, to make it a little wider I added another dc stitch to each uphill or downhill run, making them all ten stitches long.
