Dec. 20 - Cape Day

Made Batman and Spiderman fleece capes to accompany the blanket.

Dec. 19 - SPI-der Man!!

The project went quite smoothly. The spider’s body was a little small in proportion to the legs I made, so I added a round of single crochet.

I carefully arranged Spidey’s legs and attached him to the blanket with black fingering-weight yarn. I looove this spider! He is the crowning glory of an already great-looking blanket!!

Finished the blanket edge with a round of plain single crochet instead of the reverse single crochet in the pattern. It does the job.

Measures 65” point-to-point and weighs 2 1/2 pounds!!

Last step - threw him in the dryer (dry) for 20 minutes. Came out so much softer - you wouldn’t know it was RHSS!

Dec. 14 - A Spider’s Web - progress

Just a few more rounds of Royal and I’ll be ready to add the web’s spokes and, as a final touch… a Spider, made from agamerswife’s pattern, to sit in the middle of the web! So Cool!

Dec. 11, 2012 - Gifts for a SuperHero

Need 1 skein Black and 2 skeins each of Blue and Cherry Red.

I’ve got the Black, a partial skein Blue, no Cherry, used up in Christmas ripples. Off to JoAnns, with coupons. No Blue, so switched to the darker Royal.

Also got a remnant of black fleece - I’m sure Dylan would love a Batman cape!

Ready to begin. This looks like FUN!!
