June 26, 2015 - And No Longer Just Burgundy and White

Used an entire one-pound skein of RHSS ‘Soft Navy’ to add strips on both long sides of the skinny Burgundy and White blanket. Then did a plain double crochet round of a pretty variegated, a long-stashed gift from AnastaciaKnits.

It’s a real BLANKET now, measuring about 45″ by 68″, definitely worth the bother.

June 22, 2015 - No Longer Plain Pink

Unlabeled variegated from yarn fairy Karen of MA compliments the Light Raspberry blanket beautifully! I’ve been told that it’s RHSS ‘Pink Camo’.

The blanket is loosely crocheted. With size J hook I alternated crocheting 1 and 2 dcs in each stitch .

Finished with a round of RHSS ‘Light Raspberry’ did the job.

June 12, 2015 - A Bounty of Blankets

I snagged TWO nicely crocheted blankets at a thrift store - on the same day! Not only that, I paid just $2.99 each, after 25% senior discount. Yay!

The first one, burgundy and white, is long and narrow, 28″ x 66″. I plan to add about 8″ on both long sides, probably in blue.

The second, of RHSS ‘Light Raspberry’, is 33″ x 53″, very close to the size of my usual little ripples, so I’m just going to add a fun little variegated border.
