1/18/2010- Now the sweater fits a lot better (he’s 2!) although it’s getting a bit short. I’ll add more ribbing at the sleeves and bottom. I know a lot more about pattern sizing at this point and this probably fit him perfectly at 18 months.

12/27/09- Okay, this is definitely too big (especially around the middle) for a 1 year old. Maybe it’ll fit in another 3-6 months.

9/17 I finished weaving ALL of the ends in last night (so many stripes!) and addeed yellow buttons this afternoon (i’ll add a photo later).

I am only following this sweater for the measurements. I am making it in the largest size (12-18 mos) so that hopefully it will fit my nephew around Christmas, but it seems like it’s going to be a better fit for a 2 year old. Sigh. But better too big than too small--he can grow into it.

I added a cabled border and am alternating rows of sc and dc and changing colors every row. I will probably use bigger, cuter buttons but we’ll see. So far so good!
