This is the Qualifying Round pattern for Sock Madness 11.

• Ball weighs 94.93g
• Used Tillybuddy’s cast on
• Worked 20 rounds of ribbing on 1.75mm needle.
• Remainder worked on 2.25mm needle.
• 30 repeats to start of gusset
• 16 repeats for gusset
• 28 repeats to start of toe
• Marked every 4 repeats from top. Extra two repeats marked just before toe shaping.
• Finished sock 1 on 7th day; used 46.86g yarn (less than 1 gram from halfway!)
• Finished sock 2 on 12th day; used 46.45g yarn
• Yarn remaining: 1.62g
• Used this video for kitchener stitch without “ears” on ends

Tips:

• This video helped me work the LTT stitch with less physical pain. There are other videos in the Twisted Madness Questions thread header for continental style.
• Some have noted that the LTT stitch is very hard to tink or pick back up if dropped. I’ve been using a lifeline every 4 repeats to ensure that if I have an issue from which I can’t recover, then at least I won’t have to rip back too far to get back on track.

Notes to self:
* I worked 10 rounds of the stitch pattern on a 2.0mm needle and found that it didn’t stretch enough to get over my heel. The ribbing alone stretches enough, but the stitch pattern did not.
