I tried to felt it down to a 4” opening since I only have 4” zippers, but it ended up being between 4.25-4.5”. I wanted to have a little stitch definition left, but no dice.

As you can see, the pumpkin felted more than the winter white.

I am not a great hand sewer, so I think that’s the most trouble I’ll have with this. It’s very quick and cute.

It took 2 days to dry completely. It definitely took me longer to sew the lining and zipper than knitting and felting.

I think next time I would make the nose a decorative button and add a snap or magnetic closure instead. I had a hard time getting the button through and over time I think it will become very stretched and warped.
