a new warp….a little bit saucy.
What a pigs arse of a warp! Note to self. When you are warping up and you use a stainless steel thread that wraps in on itself when you are warping….or snaps. STOP! Stop right then and there. Rethink. Change your threads. Do not proceed.
Heh heh - well - this yarn is already plied….so warping it up standing upright on a cone you are literally over plying it on itself again…..no yarn likes that.
Instead - put it on a lazy kate or cardboard box and thread it sideways lying down so it is just winding off the cone….
Mind you - now it is finished it bloody beautiful! All photos shown (except top one) shows it UNWASHED. Hence nice and flat. But I never keep it that way.
