this was a kit purchased several years ago from the Icelandic Knitter ~ Hélène Magnússon, i finally made them, to bring on our camping trip to Iceland summer 2016 to surprise my husband and hang them on our tent (and the one place we stayed on the island of Vestmannaeyjar).

a pick up and put down project, they really don’t take quite so long. the flowers and leaves are first knit, then felted and then finished with trimming and all, which took the longest.

they are SO charming and lovely and i LOVE them. my husband was surprised and delighted.

(i bought solar powered lights and charged them in the car as we drove) also, to be sure they would travel safely, i stuffed the flowers and leaves in my hunter boots, worked a charm! :)
