Notes

i am so happy to have found this pattern. designed to ‘maximize the yardage of luxury yarns’ it’s brilliant! the ties are made nice and long so the scarf/shawlette stays on. and it’s so pretty with tiny little flowers, garter stitch and the simple picot edge. i had 2 skeins of jade sapphire and made another evelyn clark pattern, the shetland lace triangle shawl. it used approx 500 yards, and this pattern took the remainder, about 300.

i noticed that there are very few projects made of the meadow lace and that may be because the pattern is 7 pages long and includes 6 charts, it might seem more difficult than it is.

i like to use markers, even on simple lace since i often knit (and don’t pay attention) while at work or chatting over coffee… hee hee. so if you are like me and like to use markers, i found that you will need to move them on every row #1 and on every row #5 (chart 2). that might sound like more trouble than it’s worth, but it’s pretty simple.

the chart notes are important to read through and refer to. only odd number rows are charted so you will have to read to know when to picot on the even number rows. excellent instructions are written out row by row for those that are more comfortable without charts.

thank you evelyn! i can’t wait to make this again!
