i’m using beaverslide dry goods 1-ply fingering/light sport weight yarn on a size 6 needle. beginning with woodsmoke heather then adding lichen frost when the first color ran out. now i’m adding a third color, huckleberry heather and i’m up to 1,152 stitchs and it’s still not close to being done!

i needed to change colors since beaverslide was out of the first two colors i started with. i hope this is going to be okay. now i’m wondering if i should add a fourth color, as i’m going to need to order another skein soon!

i’m not sure when i started this, maybe a year ago. picking it up and working a little at a time, i finally got serious about finishing two months ago. the colors went like this, one hank of grey, one of green and four of the blue. i made three repeats of gull pattern. then an eight stitch knitted on border (sideways) i knit until i couldn’t anymore. i’m glad to have made this shawl. it’s been a labor of love for sure.
