I’m knitting the larger version of this in the garter stitch. I’m using two different greens from the Koigu KPPPM range so one for the body and one for the lace which will hopefully look lovely~ Fingers crossed.

Disaster! Firstly once I hit the lace section and changed yarn I realised that I didnt actually like them together so frogged. Started again in the 535 colourway. Secondly, the lace repeat is so easy and rythmic (great!) but because of this I do other things while Im knitting and then balls it up. I have had to back track entire rows several times now : ( Focus! Now I’m running out of yarn so this easy shawl I thought would be done in a couple of days is now an looooooongterm project as I can’t find more of the KPPPM 535 from somewhere that will ship to Australia.
Grr. Should have knit socks…….

Ok found yarn from Loop in London so got it finished and it is LOVELY. I am so so happy with this. I didn’t knit the beads in as I really wanted something that I would throw around my neck against the cold. I might make a more delicate version but Im very happy with my yarn choice. It holds it shape and is cosy without being heavy.
