Notes

taking a break from my mittens, and started this project. hoping to finish before it gets too warm/hot to wear it…

so far, so good.
the pattern is really easy to get into and simple enough to multitask(knit + movie). finished four x-men movies while knitting this so far. found out action movies works great with knitting!

Feb 23: front completed. found a few corrections, mostly #’s of sts. after first part of decreases, 32sts were decreased and 130sts remains. also at the completion of the cable/neck decreases, 8sts remains, which get bind off.
I also knitted it about an inch longer than the pattern called for. hoping mine sits like the original one.(I also have a long torso, though I am short… :/)
Mar 4: back piece almost done. just bind-off is left unfinished. I am a little bit confused whether I should bind off on the wrong side after the last decrease or purl another wrong side then bind off on the right side…
started on a sleeve.
Mar 6: finished the sleeve. now those three pieces are being blocked while I work on the second sleeve.
Mar 11: finished the other sleeve, and got it blocked. also stitched the raglan part and currently working on the neck band.
Mar 13: finally everything came together! so exciting!!
took me sometime to sew all the parts together, more than I expected. but now its done and super stoked how it came out. spring came(i guess) and flowers have been blooming here in Portland, but I am sure the cold and rain will be back again, and so looking forward to wearing it a good handful of times!

the pattern was good, but not super well-written/detailed. there were some parts that assumed you knew/had dome some knitting and you were supposed to know what you were expected to do.
I might also go one size smaller if I knit it next time. for my bust ~8” ease was a bit much, and I think it would have looked better if the cabled parts sit more towards the center of the body. but I am happy with how it came out regardless.
