So, I decided to do a hdc border of the beige and did crab stitch in the brown. This helped out with the tight chain at the beginning. When I was doing the corners and the peaks of the ripple, I did 1 crab stitch, chain 1, 1 crab stitch in one stitch. at the valleys I just skipped a stitch. Right now, it’s in the washer getting washed and I’m going to put it on dad’s couch when it’s done.

So, I’ve started weaving in the ends. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but it helps that I watched some Netflix and listening to coasterradio.com podcast. I think that I’m going to do border 142 from Around the Corner Crochet Borders and straighten up the ends.

I’ve got one more color block, weave in the ends (oh crap) and the border! I’ve got it laying on my waterbed and it’s huge! Hope it’ll work for dad. I think I should have left the light blue and dark green out. Too many colors and I wanted the brown in there more. Oh well, it’s not for me. I’ll be happy to get it done.

I’m thinking of doing a sc border - either just as it is or making the ends straight - in the beige and crab stitch in the brown. As you can see from the dark picture that I got a bit done.

So, my semester is over and i just have to retake 1 class. I decided at the spot that was messed up to fix it to have the right numbers between the increase and decrease. I’ve done a row or so beyond the fix and I can’t really point it out. Hopefully I can get a lot of the blanket done this summer.

I’m not very happy with this right now - I just discovered another spot where I messed up. I’m on the fence about fixing the spot, fixing it at the spot I’m at or just leaving it like it is.

Well, was working on this for a bit and found another mistake a few rows - I’m now getting close to my original spot I was going to redo. But oh well.

I’m starting on the second dusty blue stripe! It’s roughly 21” long at the moment - so I’m going to do 4 stripe sequences and make it about 7’ long ( but that can always change, depending on what dad wants). I didn’t get to work on it like I wanted this past week because I had to work 5 days and we were busy right before Thanksgiving and then my sis and her pups were here for 4 days.

Well, i’m going to have to rip back about a row -I guess I had done two clusters of three in a row! But I’m working on the dusty green row (5th color stripe).

Well, it’s looking good so far. I’m working on the 3rd 4-row stripe. The colors are so far Dusty Blue, Olive, and Silver Blue with Chocolate and Dusty Green. I was going to do random stripes, but doing it in this order will work better for me. The width is perfect, slightly wider than the blanket it’s going to replace. Also, I’m crocheting this right-handed when I usually use my left hand.

Going to make dad a new blanket since Lori’s puppies decided to be bored. Going to cast on 146 stitches and hopefully I don’t get bored with this.

Well, I’ve decided to chain 162 stitches and it’s nearly perfect. It’s going to be about 46” wide and I’m going to have 4 rows stripes with 2-row stripes of beige in between.
