Yesterday I finished off the edging, just have to weave in the end and reblock! I decided to do a half double crochet round and a round of crab stitch using a size K hook (should have used that size to seam the blocks together, oh well). The crab stitch really helped flattened the edging. If I make this again, I’m going to do the extra round on the squares to elimate the holes made by the short rows. Also might mix in some big squares too.

Realize that there’s just over a month to get the all seamed up for the fair. So, I was stuck at home all weekend because the car’s being stupid and dying when idled (mechanic told me it might be bad gas) I decided to block the rest of the squares Saturday and Sunday. I decided on 8 x 9 blanket since I counted 76 squares and that used the most squares. Yesterday, I completed 6 rows of 9 squares - leaving just 2 more rows. Can’t wait to see how this turns out!

Finally started blocking the squares. Discovered that 9 squares will fit on one of my mats. Only problem is that I only have enough t-pins for those 9 squares (and I feel that my other pins aren’t strong enough for the squares).

Looks like I have 77 squares. Finished up the last of the squares and I have to block and seam! I need to figure some way to get a uniform size, maybe some sort of square. excited to get this done.

So, I counted 75 squares after 9 skeins of Noro Kureyon and 2 and a partial skeins of Eco Wool (man, I got a lot done watching Doctor Who). I’ve got 25 squares with ends woven in. :) Can’t wait to get this all together!

I think I have about 30 squares done! The first picture is all of the squares I have that I need to weave in ends and block them. I think I need some reds, oranges, yellows, and greens, definitely don’t need any teals. :) I still have some browns, and working on some neutral colors right now. This was put down all last month to work on my socks for the fair. But now I’m going to look for more yarn.

So, I’ve got 19 squares completed! I haven’t had much trouble since going to the shop and got short row making understood (I know that’s not how I want to say it). I had a problem with the first skein of Noro having a knot. I’m in the middle of my 3rd skein, which is the mossy green, black/gray, and purple one. I need to get around and weave in ends on my squares - only 4 are done atm.

Well, started the first square and it turned more into a bowl than anything else. I need to do a more elastic bind off. Very easy pattern and I need to figure what I need to do about the short rows - I’m having problems with one side.
