I changed how I did the bind off for the picot edging. Instead of binding off and sewing, I did this. It is stretchier, not as bulky, and doesn’t flip out as bad because of less bulk. Second sock, I did mess up a little when I had started the heel a little too early (had to rip the heel - I was a few rounds into the leg). And I don’t know why it didn’t really mirror - seemed it didn’t end at the same spot as the other. But as long as the height is good and it fits great on my feet, I don’t care. Now to finish this off and wash some things for Wednesday.

Finished one sock! Very easy pattern and I love it. Just need to sew the hem of the picot edging. And start the next one. I might get these done for the Darke Co. Fair next week. Need to remember that I used the red set of DPNs to finish it off.

Well, I started the heel at row 42 - originally started at row 49, but that made the ankle area baggy. I think I’m getting the hang of where to start heels on toe up socks. The yarn is actually pooling very nicely, even though I wish the pink/orange was pooling on top and not the bottom.
I had other plans for this yarn, but I wanted something that wouldn’t be so complicated. I started with 16 stitches and increased to 52 and followed the instructions for the large size to compensate for the lighter weight yarn. I think I’m going to follow the fleegle pattern for the heel since I liked it for my self striping socks - or I might try something else, haven’t gotten there yet.
