5/8/14: Blocked and DONE. She fits PERFECTLY and I’m so glad I made the 33” size even though I have a 38.5” bust (the short version as described here) despite my nervousness. The fabric is very stretchy and may even grow a little more. LOVE everything about this sweater… Alexis Winslow is a GENIUS. What a fun and awesome knit!

5/1/14: Just bound off. Now to weave in a million ends!

5/30/13: Change of plan. Knit a new swatch with size 5 needles and got almost exact gauge. But I STILL think I will knit the 33” size… Would much rather have a too-small cardi and stretch it out than a too-baggy cardi I can’t wear. But I may need to start over on metal needles, my plastic needles are slowing me down…

5/25/13: Swatched to figure out color scheme and gauge (though haven’t blocked the swatch yet) and am not getting the gauge quite right, even on size six needles—I have slightly too few stitches per inch. So I’m going to make the 33” bust version and hope it comes out about 35” or 36” total (which would give me 2.5-3.5” negative ease, just the way I like it).
