Notes

This bathmat is inspired by the Mason-Dixon Knitting book. I’ve taken to knitting the Ballband Dishcloth included there like it was candy, to the point where (no doubt due to cotton-induced hallucination) I got the crazy idea to make a bathmat out of those little brickwork-like dishcloths! This is the result. The center panel is garter stitch in the three colors of yarn I chose, two solids and an ombre. Then the brickwork stitch pattern of the dishcloths is worked in log-cabin type layers around the center panel. The 8-ply Peaches ‘n’ Creme yarn is thick and cushy (yes, after each panel of this thing is completed, I put it down and STAND ON IT just to be sure it’s still as cool as I think it is!) and knits up fast.
