My dad has very broad shoulders, so I added ten stitches on each side of the front and the back. I also went to six buttons instead of five, and I seamed the shoulders and sides before doing the button band and arm bands.

The yarn was a pleasure to knit with, although I underestimated the amount I needed. Of course, Cascade has discontinued this lovely wool/linen mix, so another Ravelry member came to the rescue (bless them!).

For the record, that is my son modeling the vest; if I get a photo of Dad wearing it, I’ll add that too.

I’m very pleased with how it turned out, and from what Dad says, he’s happy with it too! :D :D :D
