The problems I had with this hat were of my own doing… splitty yarn, way too small yarn and needles leading to adapting the heck out of a perfectly good pattern, switching the changing and solid colors, and my own inexperience with colorwork, leading to the dreaded too-tight carries. The hat was given to a kid with a smaller head, and I made a new one for this kid.
