Notes

I think by gauge is a little off, but that’s okay, I calculated that I’d need a little more positive ease than the pattern called for as I did not want the sweater to be overly tight. Normal chest measurement is 33” so this should be fine even if my gauge is slightly off.

I LOVE this yarn, the color, the way it feels, it’s all just perfect. Now if I could just knit faster so I can wear this sweater…

I started this sweater in January 2016 and after completing the body I put it in my WIP pile (never to be seen again…). Mid-November 2016 after telling my husband I was just going to frog it and use the yarn for something else I inevitably could not bring myself to rip it out and decided to just push through and knit the sleeves.

Recommendations: It’s tight. Even knitting the size 38 it’s still snug. If you want it to be roomier, knit 2 sizes up (or maybe even 3). I’m hoping the yarn relaxes a little bit (it does seem like it will).

I knit extra length for the body since I seem to be slightly long torso’d (compared to the patterns I usually knit for me). I think I knit an extra 2 inches.

This color is gorgeous. This is my first red sweater and I’m so glad I chose this color. It’s perfect.
