The mittens are worked from my stash, using wool and alpaca. As I somehow managed to make two right hand mittens, I am in the process of knitting two left ones. The background yarn changes gradually in colour, so the mittens will only be related, not siblings, when finished into two pairs. A very enjoyable pattern to knit.
12.02. Both pairs are finished. As I suspected, these are not siblings. I have learnt a lesson about slow, gradual colourchanges. Still, I love them.
The size is an average ladies’ - too small for me.
Each pair weighs 58 grams.

I love the pattern, but miss a thumb gusset. These were my only reason for buying the book. It was worth the money.
