I used the 6-12 month pattern but made a few changes based on my gauge and preferences.

I started with a ch of 34 and a first row of 32 dc. Starting in round 4, I worked in spirals without joining. I adjusted the decreases in Rounds 28 & 34 because I had fewer stitches to start with. I skipped Rounds 33, 36, and 37 due to length. I joined after Round 35. I added another round of post stitch ribbing (let’s call it Round 39) at the end because I liked the look better.

I also started the flower with a chain and not a sliding loop.
