Notes

I loved the look of these squares when I started reviewing this book. I thought they would make a great placemat because they are fairly thick. I’ve been itching to make some things for myself, and this seemed like a good way to use up some stash cotton.

I modified the joining round to use hdc instead of dc (or, htr instead of tr since the book uses UK terms). I had to press the first two squares into service as a coaster while I was teaching at the North Jersey Fiber Arts Festival (see bottom picture).
