Notes

I was inspired by my Colorful Cables class with Melissa Leapman at Vogue Knitting Live to work on some slip stitch cables with my ongoing knitting class.

I’m using my trusty Bryson Distributing Rosewood needles and cable needles, purchased at Downtown Yarns.

I bought the Kaleidoscope yarn in 2010. I sold some great hats and cowls that I made with it during the craft fair season, and only had one skein left. The Colour Mate has been lingering in my stash since about ‘02-’03. I ordered several skeins online and have made quite a few hats and scarves from the rest. These two leftover skeins seemed lonely and like they would play well together.

This swatch is actually turning out pretty nicely. I might have to turn it into something real.

Update 2/8/12: I will be turning this idea into a real life project but using different yarn. This swatch will probably end up as a classroom sample.

Update 2/13/12: I decided to frog this and use the yarn for some other cool project.
