Notes
  1. CO 72 stitches
  2. 2x2 rib for 4”
  3. Thumb gusset: place two stitch markers, increase one on each side, every other round. Knit the main part in pattern
  4. When thumb gusset is 2” long, place stitches on scrap yarn or holder, continue knitting main part until desired length. In this case, 9”.
  5. Use a stretchy bind off. SSK: miraculous elastic bind off
  6. Return to thumb gusset. Transfer stitches to three straight needles. P/u stitches along the back side. Knit thumb in the found for 1”. Cast off.
  7. Tuck in ends.
