I needed a basic black pullover since my old off-the-rack one is wearing out. The merino-silk yarn makes a beautiful fabric, but it’s kinda tough working with black yarn!

I added 1” of straight stst before the hip shaping to give me more length. This yarn stretched vertically more in the lace pattern than in the stst, but it fits perfectly, and I love the longer length.

I used only 2 skeins for this (very surprising since my earlier Elphabas used barely 2 skeins when the tml yardage was higher & the FOs are shorter than this one). I did just weigh the FO, and it is 232 g (corresponds to ~1020 yards), so my skeins were overweight.

There are still 2 skeins of this wonderful yarn in my stash, so I may just do a plain laceless Elphaba for something even more basic.
