Notes

I use this pattern ALL the time to make baby hats - although my gauge is always a lot bigger than the recommended when I use the needles & yarn weight recommended in the pattern. Generally, I use size 3 needles & DK or sport weight yarn, and that makes a premie-sized hat in the smallest pattern size, or a perfect size for my little peanut right now if I use the largest size in the pattern. I have also used size 5 needles & worsted weight yarn & extended the straight part & made a hat for my hubby (which he actually wore!).
