I am LOVING this yarn - so soft & beautiful drape! :)
I checked around on other Mauna projects to see what yarns people were using, and it looked like people were successful with sport, rather than fingering held double. I wanted the dress to be in a cotton blend that would hold up well in washing and lots of wear, because my daughter isn’t exactly easy on clothes lately. Here’s hoping Comfy will fit the bill! :)

I did have to go down lots of needle sizes - I’m at a US 2(+)/3.0mm instead of the US 6/4.0mm called for in the pattern, and my gauge is still a little off - I’m at 22.5 sts x 32 rows, so I’m hoping that it being a smidge narrower and a bit longer will actually be good for my skinny girl - she always grows out of things length-wise WAY before she grows out of it width-wise. :)

I am going to have a TON of yarn left over!! I’m just past the little waist ribbing detail and haven’t even finished one ball of any of the colors. I guess I didn’t think about the requirements being “held double” LOL I guess I’ll make another one for my niece or something :)

done with the last increase for the skirt! Finishing up the skirt shortly, then to finish up the arms & find a button! (Love that there won’t be a ton of ends to weave in, since I’ve been carrying the colors across the back.) :)

Nia chose a sparkly button for the back & it is all done! hanging in her closet! :) love it :)
