so far, so good on the pattern - but I’ve still got the button bands and collar to do, so the jury is still out… oh, not to mention the velvet edging!! we shall see… I’m not a sew-er, so I may need to enlist my mom or sister for help ;) of course, the baby was born on Dec. 5th, so I need to hurry up :)

1/8/09: gotta block & sew on edging & buttons (oh, and buy buttons), but it’s getting close!!

3/30/09: seriously, I have no time to knit :P sewing together is all done, and weaving in of ends, then I realized that I slipped a stitch or something at the BOTTOM of the FRONT on one side. UGH!!! So, yeah, I made pockets. hahahahah have to sew them on, and buy & sew on buttons, and I’ve decided not to do the trim. Can’t figure out how to do it without it being a total pain (especially for this non-sewer), and honestly, I really need to give this to the new recipient before he grows out of it too!! Blocking to commence shortly.

4/20/09 - ok I FINALLY am blocking this dang sweater, and it’s looking pretty darn cute. I wish I had the time and energy to figure out the trim because I think it would be seriously adorable, but I just don’t. And if I don’t give this sweater to the baby soon, he’s going to grow out of it! PLUS it’s starting to get hot around here, and he’s not going to need sweaters at all shortly… :) Pictures to come soon hopefully :)

4/30/09 - it’s FINISHED!!! and delivered to a baby who has pretty much already outgrown it a month early! ARGH!!! oh well, maybe he can wear it for 5 minutes just to take a picture, and then baby #2 someday can wear it. sigh.

5/4/09 - oh look, cutie pants!! yeah, he can definitely only wear it for 5 minutes hahahahaha
