Shawl #1 in 2013

This pattern seems to call for per-threading the beads, but I didn’t realize that until I had already started, so I am beading the yarn-overs before knitting them with a crochet hook on the wrong side row. Beads are Triangles Miyuki 5/0 Lined Topaz Luster, used 19g

I’m also using 4mm needles, hoping to make it a bit larger, especially since I’m a loose knitter and usually have to go down a size or 3 to get gauge.

The chart symbols take some getting used to. I didn’t block it much, but silk grows a lot.
