Beads : Miyuki 6/0 Garnet Lined Ruby AB 24g used

Found a “new” (for me) way not to fudge the garter tab : CO 4 stitches using Judy’s Magic Cast On, leave the bottom stitches on the cable and ignore them until you have 3 rows of garter stitch, then when it’s time to pick up the cast on stitches just slide the left needle back into these stitches and voila. Not fudged garter tab.

I took a risk, knitting the medium size, knowing I may have to forgo the picot bind off. With only 4g for the bind off, I tried a co1bo2 picot, but that was still too much. I did a simple stretchy bind off and am left with less than 1g of yarn.

I forgot to weight the skein, but the finished shawl weights 73g.
