12-29-08 - I did cast this on way back in October, but it sat in the bottom of knitting bag while I finished a few other projects. When I got it back out on Dec 26th, I was about 2/3 of the way done with the cowl neck. Some dedicated knitting over the weekend and I finished it. Today was just sewing up and weaving in ends which went fast. I’m pleased with the finished sweater - which I think looks a bit less “boob-y” in person :-) (at least that’s what sara tells me!)

also - my gauge was smaller than the pattern … hence the size S - I’m really more of an XS

October 2 (I think) - I wrote this: I saw a bulky cabled short-sleeved sweater in the Sept 08 In Style - and I’ve been obsessed with knitting something like it. Was so glad to find the pattern yesterday (thanks to Lime N Violet’s Chum) and the yarn today (thanks to Susan and Theresa at Cast on Cottage). Can’t wait to cast on (tomorrow).
