used a combination cast-on of backward loop for the cuffs, 3 loose knit-on for the decreases, provisional for the seams of the arms, and backward loops again for the neck.

I alternated skeins and so was able to do a little trick at the beginning of the ‘flap.’ On the last WS row before the flap, k only to the last marker, then slide the sts back to the R needle, turn, and p remaining sts from the RS with the other skein. Saved a bit of weaving in.

I used two different color st markers so that I could mindlessly knit and still know whether to dec/inc or purl depending upon which color marker was first in line.
