Notes

Used yarn purchased for Ixchel.

Gauge was completely off, (I held the yarn doubled, and while I got 18 sts, there were only 18 rows for Lupin’s 28) so there were many changes.

It’s cropped and that’s a good look.

Short rows changed to fit gauge (proportion of rows was the same, e.g. while the pattern had 13 short rows with a decrease of 10 each time, I had 9 short rows with a decrease of 17 4 times and 16 twice). Did this with both sets of short rows.

Arms changed in both width and length.
Added 3 short rows around the sleeve opening and puk-ed 5 on each side of underarm co to increase st count to from 58 to 96. Then decreased every 3 or 4 like this: 4,3,4,3,3,4,3,3,4,3,3,4,3,3,4,3.

Lupins changed to corn - for an Illinois touch.
Used Jacquard ladders to eliminate puckering.
Corn pattern completely changed because of gauge as well (last photo).
I mostly held the navy yarn English and the gold yarn Continental. There were a few stitches that I switched intentionally - those are marked on the chart.

You can see the line in the back where I switched skeins. Clearly a knitter error rather than anything to do with the pattern or yarn.

Pattern is quick and easy.
Yarn is soft and easy to work with.
