To avoid the typical doubling of stitches lengthwise which the Deco does if you use BX, AX etc. and which always results in a bit of distorting the pattern, I used BX< / HX<.
This gives the pattern in the right proportions and at the same time, starting with all pushers on the back in rest, you can knit the reverse entirely in Color 1, that is a solid colour reverse.

I did not use any strippers. Recommended are the black ones, but after two jams with them, I removed them. Using cast on comb plus weights and later 4 or 5 claw weights is enough.
