This is such a clever idea for a toy! Pattern is very well written.
I’m loving this project all the way! Cotton yarns are so nice to work with.

Added eyelids:
Ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from hk, sl st in next 2 chs, turn, sl st in next st, fasten off, leaving enough tail for sewing. Position the beginning end on the inside corner of eye, sew across outer edge with tail end of yarn. Weave in ends.
