This is a little design I worked up for a friend’s book to be published in spring 09.

The working name is that of a delicious confection from the Medici in Chicago. This will be a confection, and wearing it feels vaguely reminiscent of my college days, when I was young and had the body to wear whatever… .

The final piece is in 3635 “Willow”, it’s more of a khaki color and you can see it in the Vaguely Reminiscent II photo. I must confess that although the willow is lovely I favor the aqua mist - it has a little punch to it. If I end up making one or both of the pieces for myself, that is the color I’ll use, but I think the willow is nice as well, and has a classic, understated component to it that would suit many.

I’m very happy with how both pieces turned out. This may be one of my favorite designs yet, Moxie’s MindofWinter Wedding Aran aside.
