Notes

using the canadian living “basic crocheted socks” pattern, i used a G hook for the ribbing then switched to a J hook for the rest of the pattern. i extended the foot length to 7 1/4” to account for jesse’s dads big feet
i realized about half-way through the first sock that i would likely NOT have enough of the brown wool-ease to complete two socks so found a random skein of the same fiber in a golden yellow and decided to use it for the bottom foot and heel.

the color yellow is one associated with jesse by his friends because he wore a murray state hoodie most every day to school in the months proceeding his accident.

jerome is thrilled to know these are finally finished and he can’t wait to try them on. next time, i will think twice before casually saying to him “is there something you want me to crochet for you?”
ha. dumb. dumb. dumb.

they turned out funky cute enough and i will do the pattern again sometime for myself, mebbe.
