This is my second attempt at this sweater. First one was too big.

My gauge is off, but I can’t seem to fix it. I’m getting apx 3 st per inch.

On the sleeves, because I have skinny wrists, I started with the size 1 and increased up to the size 2.

The sweater is knit. Sleeve underarms not grafted yet. However, the back gapes with extra fabric right above where the shaping ends. It did this on the first one I knitted. I made a smaller size thinking it would fix the problem. I hate it. I know I will never wear this unless I rip back up to the end of the shaping and reknit. I DON’T WANT TO! Has anyone else had this problem?

I’ve cut the sweater and ripped back to the underarm. Washed the yarn and I am going to knit back down, reworking the shaping.

It worked out great. Just needs buttons for the eyes.
