Notes

The First pair in my yearly sock challenge of a pair a month. My overall aim with the project is to undertake either something new or challenging with each pair.

I chose Hoar Frost for January, and went for the toe up option as its a long while since I have done a toe up pattern.

Surprisingly I don’t think that I have ever worked a mock cable before. I have to say in my opinion a mock cable is possibly even more fiddly than cabling without a cable needle, although the finished fabric doesn’t pull together as much as it does in a proper cable, so I’m definitely grateful for the extra ease !

Finished off with JSSBO - another first for me.

The yarn is gorgeous - super soft ! Smooshy with cashmere feels as though it is slightly lighter/thinner than the regular Smooshy, possibly not as high twist either. I feel it leans more towards a light fingering. I love both versions though.
