SLEEVES――4.5 mm (US 7) set of double-pointed (DPN) +Not needed if using Magic Loop.
RIBBING (neckband, hem, cuffs)――3.5 mm (US 4) circular of DPN

GAUGE
18 sts/24 rows = 10 cm {4”} in pip pattern using larger needles, blocked.
22 sts/32 rows = 10 cm {4”} in 1x1 rib using smaller needles, blocked.

NOTIONS
Stich markers, removable markers (safety pins), stitch holder (waste yarn), tapestry needle, open-end sipper: sizes 1&2: 51 cm {20”}, sizes 3–6: 56 cm {22”}, matching sewing thread, hand-sewing needle or sewing machine.

NOTE
This cardigan is worked seamlessly from the top down.
The yoke is shaped with increases toward the shoulders, then the back and fronts are worked separately to form armholes.The lower body is knit in one piece down to the hem.The front bands are worked vertically in 1x1 rib after picking up stitches along the front edges and casting on new stitches, joining the picked-up stitches by working them together with the new stitches.The neck is worked in 1x1 rib, then folded in half to create a double neckband.The sleeves are picked up around the armholes and worked in the round. Finally, a zipper is sewn in to complete the garment.

ノート
このパターンはトップダウンで綴じはぎなしで編み進めます。ヨークは肩先に向かって目を増やしながら成形し、その後、後ろ身頃と前身頃を別々に編んでアームホールを作ります。身頃の下部は裾まで一続きに編みます。前立ては本体から目を拾い、作り目をして縦方向に一目ゴム編みを編みながら、拾った目を2目一度でつなげます。ネックは一目ゴム編みで編んだあと、半分に折り、ダブルネックに仕上げます。袖はアームホールから目を拾い、袖口まで輪で編みます。最後にファスナーを縫いつけて完成です。
