Notes

4/15: Collar’s done. Love it. Absolutely makes the sweater. Ran out of yarn with a half row and the bind off to go! Am going to redo some of my seams and block again. Sweater fits, though I’m wishing it were a few inches longer as is. Need to get buttons before judging completely.

4/14: Halfway through the wrap and turns and am sure I’m going to run out of yarn. Called the LYS where I’d purchased the yarn in Feb. They had one skein in the right color & dye lot. Woohoo.

4/12: Have reached the increase row in the collar. Not sure I’m liking how this happens as you loose the ribbing pattern with the increase. I’m wondering why not just pick up all the stitches on the initial pickup row? The increase row does create a band around the whole sweater and should help the collar stand up a bit. Not sure whether it’s necessary, though.

4/10: Collar’s underway. Using 60” circulars rather than 40”. Am opting to put buttons down the front. Six fit well. Put first button hole in at 6 stitches, then knit 12 stitches in pattern between next five button holes.

4/4: Finally have the completed pieces blocking and drying. Assembly to commence tomorrow.

3/26: Left front is complete. Let the blocking begin.

3/23: Right front is done. This is flying now.

3/20: Back’s done. Whoohoo!

3/14: Made it through two sets of cables. Tedious, but looks good.

3/12: Two sleeves done. Whoohoo!

3/5: 1st sleeve completed, second underway. Posted Sleeve chart for 48.25 (see pict).

3/4: Finally making my way through a sleeve. Frogged it twice as I was not happy with the increase rows and “rib” pattern. Directions are not completely clear in my opinion. Ended up leaving two K stitches on the right edge because of the way the increase stitch falls. Hope it right this time!

2/23: Book arrived today. Let the games begin!
