Yarnbomb of a bike rack in downtown Honolulu, done during the Find Art Festival.

Modification of the Circles Scarf pattern by Linda Permann - shortened to 12 circles long, 2 strips wide. I added the contrasting edging, which also conveniently fastens together the 2 strips into a tube.

Installation was quick and easy - just slid the sleeve over the “handle” of the bike rack. These racks are the “BikeBike” racks installed by the Bicycle Program of the City & County of Honolulu.

Update: went back 6 days later. The tag (with QR code, handwritten URL, and “yarnbomb: a small explosion of joy”) was gone. The QR code has never been used. The sleeve was still there, twisted around into a lovely new pattern, though!

Second update: the entire sleeve was gone within a few days of the first update.
