This is a great pattern! It’s a quick knit even with the cross hatch pattern as long as you pay attention to the chart and instructions. I’ve never worn gloves or mitts this soft before. This was the perfect pattern for this special skein of alpaca yarn which was gifted to me.

This is one of the nicest looking and easiest thumb gussets I’ve knitted. I can’t wait to start another pair!

I did the cast on and bind off with one size larger needle.
